It's that time of the year again, time to roll up your sleeves and show the new work year what you're made of. But is your wardrobe upto the challenge?
Here's how you can work-ready your look in just few steps;
1. Take stock: Unpack your wardrobe and take a good look at its contents. Do you have five white shirts but not one pencil skirt? Are you hoarding "maybe" items from two years ago? Be brutal. Throw out! It's the only way to create a back-to-work look that means business.
2. It's all about the fit: Don't keep anything in your cupboard just because it's "good on paper". Sure, it might be on trend, or perhaps it was a bargain- but how do YOU look in it? Try it on and be honest with yourself. It's better to have fewer looks that all look amazing on you, than clutter that doesn't.
3. A clean start: Take a look at what's left. Spot anything that shouldn't really be there? Go on-throw it out too. Now put a few looks together and find new inspiration, working with what you have available. More often than not, you have a lot to work with already!
4. Make a list: Next it's time to make a workwear wishlist. perhaps you need a new handbag, a pair of killer heels or a few accessories to add a touch of sparkle. There's no need to rush out and buy them all at once. Keep your wishlist handy when you go shopping and be on the lookout for quality and value.
5. Make the first day account: Your first day back at work sets the tone for the rest of the year. Get your look ready the night before and be sure to get some beauty sleep. You're off to a great start!
